The Philosophy Tube was launched in 2013 when Thorn was trying to offer a free philosophy class after the UK tuition was raised in 2012. In 2018 her videos became more theatrical and began to incorporate dramatic studio sets, lighting, costumes and makeup. The channel has received positive reviews from critics and has over 1 million subscribers.
In 2019, Thorn hosted a live stream of Twitch reading a play of Shakespeare's complete works for the Samaritans, a mental health charity. The stream ran for five days, featured several guests, and raised over £100,000 for the Samaritans.
Thorn came out as a transgender woman in January 2021, with the video Coming Out As Trans - A small public statement and further theatrical release Identity: A Trans Coming Out Story.
2. Alex Bertie

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and has won multiple awards, including a limited release and a Streamy Award.
