My Girlfriends is Transwoman, and I'm Not Gay

WHEN Jesse initiated contact with Cassidy through private messages, they connected instantly and developed a strong romantic bond. However, not everyone supported their relationship, as Cassidy being a trans woman posed challenges for Jesse's friends and family.

Jesse elaborated on this in an interview with Love Don't Judge, stating, "I grew up in an environment surrounded by a very masculine family. I was explicitly taught that a traditional woman is the ideal partner, and deviating from that, such as being with a trans girl, would result in expulsion from the family for being perceived as gay."

The couple frequently faces online harassment, with Cassidy revealing, "I've encountered numerous hateful comments, questioning my identity as a 'real woman'." In this episode, Jesse's friend, Jordan, openly expresses his initial reservations and surprise about their relationship. During a conversation with the couple, Jordan confessed, "I felt very uncertain and taken aback." Despite the challenges, Jesse and Cassidy are eager to share their love with the world, emphasizing, "Our message is to encourage people not to fear embracing the love they have."
